BIOGRAPHY

Gian Marco Verdone was born in 1994 in Castel S. Pietro Terme (BO, Italy), and starts studying music at the age of 4, attending the early courses at the music school “Vassura Baroncini” in Imola, where he lives. In 2004 joins the piano class of M. Walter Orsingher and begins to perform as soloist in different concert series and obtaining several prizes. In 2013 he joins the class of M° Gianluca Luisi and Luigi Tanganelli at the Conservatory “B. Maderna” in Cesena (FC, Italy) and in 2016 he obtains his Piano bachelor degree with 110 and Praise. He successfully perfected his skills at the International Academy of Imola “Incontri con il Maestro” in the class of Maestro Igor Roma and began working there as a Collaborating Master at the flute lessons of the Maestros M. Valentini, A. Oliva, A. Manco ; thanks to the experience gained as a collaborator Gian Marco is the founder and producer of RealStage for Flute.

Gian Marco Verdone is passionately dedicated to chamber music, from duo to larger ensembles: he performs in trio and quartet in Praga, Lubiana and Gorizia for the “Mittleuropean Meetings”, organized by the “Foreign Italian Culture Institute” with pieces from classical repertory and contemporary composers, including an his own composition for solo piano (Grande Ballata op. 3). He also performs as part of different chamber ensembles in Castelbolognese (RA), Ravenna, Parma, Bologna, Teramo, Cuneo and Torino. He is also interested in modern music, from jazz-swing to pop-rock, falling in love for improvisation, experimentation and composition of music of different genre and organic and performing several times with rock bands from classical hard rock to rockabilly-swing. This versatility and love for different music genres lead him to develop his passion for improvisation and composition in different musical genres, from symphonic orchestra to electronic experimentation. He obtains the Master Degree in Film Music at the Conservatory “G.B. Martini” in Bologna (BO, Italy) with 110, Praise and Special Mention, thanks to the work on the soundtrack for the movie “I Cavalieri del Domani” directed by Marko Negri (2021). In a few years Gian Marco Verdone obtains several prizes at different national and international Film Scoring Competitions and publishes two albums (“I Cavalieri del Domani”, 2021 and “Mind Blown”, 2022), working on them as composer, arranger and orchestral mockup maker.
