Top 10 of Oticons Faculty
After 5th place in 2022, Gian Marco Verdone reaches the Top 10 for the second time (7th place) at the “Oticons Faculty International Film Music Competition”, which in this 2024 edition counted 166 composers from 37 different countries.
The tasks requested for the competition comprehended the composition and production of 3 short original pieces, each with specific instructions: one “main theme” with free instrumentation, an “epic, battle” piece using only stringed instruments, and finally a dedicated piece to a specific scene, described only in the script.
