Friday 29th July, h. 21:00 in Imola (BO, Italy) in the courtyard of the “Palazzo Tozzoni”, Gian Marco Verdone, young but already accomplished pianist and film music composer, presents a selection of his own music, written for different short and long movies. During this recital, not casually named “Effetto Speciale” (“Special Effect”), the audience isn’t going to watch the screen, but they should be able to imagine their own pictures, suggested by the music that Verdone will play.
“Effetto Speciale is a journey through some of the most important songs of my last three years,” says Verdone. “For the occasion I have adapted my music, originally for medium and large ensembles, for my lifelong instrument, the piano, through which they live in a new light, placing emphasis on the intimate relationship that binds me to them, in the an attempt to involve the public in this bond and to share the emotions that gave birth to it”.
